Bio
I completed my apprenticeship training and earned my Red Seal certification at Vancouver Island University. During my apprenticeship and after becoming certified, I continued working with a local construction company, where I gained experience in many areas of the carpentry trade. Over the years, I worked in residential, commercial, and industrial construction. Toward the end of my time in industry, I moved into site foreman and supervisor roles.
In 2018, I made a career change and joined Vancouver Island University as a carpentry instructor. I have enjoyed the full-circle experience of being part of the carpentry training program as both a student and an instructor.
Outside of the university, I enjoy fishing, woodworking projects, and spending time with my family.
