Nisansala Perera
Bio
Nisansala Perera is an experienced educator and business professional with over a decade of teaching and leadership experience in Canada and internationally. She is passionate about creating inclusive, engaging learning environments that prepare students with the practical skills and confidence needed to succeed in today’s workplace.
Before joining VIU, Nisansala taught at Sprott Shaw College and Avalon Community College and held leadership positions in Sri Lanka’s education sector, including serving as Head of the Business Department at Lyceum International School. Her areas of expertise include curriculum development, technology integration, and student mentorship.
Nisansala holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Vancouver Island University and a Master of Business Administration from Anglia Ruskin University (UK). She brings a strong blend of academic knowledge and industry experience to her role, supporting students in their professional.
