Glynis Steen - Dean of Trades and Applied Technology

Over the next ten years, there will be a shortage of skilled workers in British Columbia due to retirements and the creation of new jobs because of the province’s economic growth. I’m excited to help ensure that our students have the skills required to fill these jobs. At the Faculty of Trades & Technology here at Vancouver Island University, we promote dynamic training opportunities in trades and technical fields, and our training facilities and equipment are among the best in the province. We have a solid partnership with industry and have access to advanced technologies and equipment that are available on worksites. Our entire team of skilled instructors and dedicated staff is committed to supporting your success and student experience!
